Boss DR 770 Drum Machines
The Boss DR-770 is by far the best drum machine I have ever had the privilege of owning! I have been playing and recording music for over ten years now and I am just amazed at the versatility and range of this machine.
At first, it may appear to be too complex, but if you look through the manual its incredibly easy to use. You’ll be able to start designing and editing drum tracks right away. I have heard nothing but praise every time I use this machine. People actually think that I have my own drummer when I am a completely solo musician.
It’s hard to convince people otherwise when each instrument comes out sounding so natural. I still can’t get over how easy it is to adjust each and every sound this machine can make.

There really is no limit to what you can do. Pitch, attenuation, panning, ambience, velocity… it’s all up to you.. Believe me, you will still be coming up with new sounds even years after you’ve been using it. Sometimes I even run out of space because I use it write so much music.
The only thing that I can think of that some people might have problems with is the single individual out. Sometimes I have to look at the manual again where it’s explained. Any issues with it are resolved by just reading that section in the manual. Anyone should be able to figure it out.
Though I, myself, have not really used the MIDI ports very much, I’m pretty sure that they would help to resolve some of the limitations with the single out. I’m sure anyone who uses this machine though won’t be using MIDI much anyway because there is so much editing that you can just do on the machine.
You really could edit your entire drum track with the unit. I solely use this machine to edit my tracks and like I said before, it sounds fantastic! I really have had no issues at all with it though! It is still running just like it was 4 years ago when it was brand new, and I use it all the time. I even take it to my live shows because I completely trust it not to let me down.
Anyone who cares about their equipment and handles it properly should expect this product to last for many, many years. There’s really no reason for me to get any other drum machine. If I ever lost mine, I’d probably just go out and buy another one because I know I have found my perfect drum machine.
I am so happy that I found the DR-770. I would say that it’s the best purchase that I’ve ever made. The Boss DR-770 is by far the best drum machine I have ever had the privilege of owning!
